death certificate gives 1890 and is likely more accurate. He was a labourer
in 1948 in Hopewell Cape, Albert Co., N.B. He died on May 5 1948 in Hopewell
Cape, Albert Co., N.B. He committed suicide near his home at the age of 57y
6m 11d after a months illness. He was buried on May 9 1948 in Lower Cape,
Albert Co., N.B.

However, this seems to have been overcome by the time of the 1891 census.

that Elizabeth Bubar was engaged in 1838 to a man she thought had the
last name of Smith. He was the one who left her at the alter. She was
pregant with Zechariah at the time.
