Mrs. John Robson.
Following a lingering illness, the death of Mrs. Eva Catherine Robson, widow of John Robson, occurred at her residence, 256 Rodney Street, West Saint John, early yesterday.
Mrs. Robson was the daughter of the late Thomas E. Green and Catherine McBride Green of West Saint John. A life-long resident of that community, she was a faithful member of St. Jude's Anglican Church and of its Senior Women's Auxiliary. Her Kindly and sympathetic nature and her readiness to assist others when sorrow or misfortune came endeared her to a great number of friends who will learn of her passing with regret. Her husband, the late John Robson, was a well known stevedore and, in his later years, a railway contractor. He succumbed in December 1929.
Many relatives are left to mourn. Amount them are three sons, J. Harry Robson, at home, and Arthur W. and Frank D. Robson, of West Saint John; five daughters, Mrs. George McBeath, Mrs. Gordon B. Smith and Mrs. Elmer R. Ingraham of Saint John, Mrs. George W. Morgan of Oregon, and Mrs. Arthur D. Alward of Lethbridge, Alberta; a brother, T. Corey Green, of Saint John; four sisters, Mrs. James MacLaughlin of West Saint John, Mrs. Mary Anderson of Newport, RI, and Mrs. Warren Ingalls and Miss Grace I. Green of Attleboro, Mass; several grand-children and three great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held on Thursday afternnon from her residence at 2:30 o'clock to St. Jude's Church for service to be conducted by the rector, Rev. Norman P. Fairweather, assisted by Rev. W. P Haigh, rector of St. George's Church. Interment will be made in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
