Was a Hugenot of La Tremblade, on the Western coast of France. Jean Perlier first fled to England and then to Narragansett, Rhode Island in 1686, but was of Boston, Massachusetts. He married Marie Arnaud by whom he had two sons, Andre and Jean. After Jean Perlier died, his widow married Pierre Traverrier, a ships captain. He married December 25, 1696 at l'Eglise Francoise a la Nouvelle York, by the minister Monsieur Payret (Peiret), to Anne Rezeau, d.o. After she and Early were married in the parsonage of the Methodist Church, on Mulberry St., Macon GA; they drove down to Chula for a wedding dinner at Tempie and Doss Cook's home., then on to the Myon Hotel. The next day they drove to Daytona, FL, where Eileene had her first glimpse of the Atlantic Ocean. She saw it again at Miami, where they visited Earl's brother George, and his wife Flo. they returned to Macon, where Earl worked for his step brother, Charlie Stroberg. Some years later they moved to Jacksonville, FL, were Earl took a position as bookkeeper for Goodyear Tire Co. They had been active members of Riverside Park Methodist Church for many years.
