His wife, Mary, was a tailor before her marriage to Robert. In her later years, Mary Walker BELYEA lived with her daughter, Maude Belyea ROBINSON and family in Robinson, Maine. Granddaughter, Leda Robinson Whitney, remembered that she always wore gray or black clothes with a white linen bonnet, had a room full of books and did a lot of reading. At age 87, she decided she had lived long enough & went to stay with another daughter, Alice, went to bed & died a short time later.
